This is one of the best holiday, adult desserts and so easy to make. INGREDIENTS:
1/3 cup Irish Whiskey
1 lb. dark Chocolate, finely chopped
1/3 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon sea salt
unsweetened cocoa powder for rolling
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. In a microwave-safe bowl, add chocolate, heavy cream and butter.
2. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until chocolate is melted.
3. Remove from microwave and add Irish whiskey and sea salt. Mix until well blended.
4. Chill in your refrigerator for two to three hours.
5. Remove from refrigerator and scoop in small portions, then shape into balls. Place cocoa powder in a bowl and roll each ball to cover.
NOTE: You can add a touch of powdered cinnamon and/or powdered sugar to the cocoa powder, blend and then roll your chocolate truffles.
